I stopped at the bank ATM yesterday for cash before going to the store. There was a 3" long rabbit against the curb of the building, right under the ATM. After the transaction I parked the bike outside. Wearing gloves, I picked the rabbit up and carried it under a bush in the grass border of the bank. It didn't kick, or squirm, or bite, or squeal. It just sat there. That spot where the cars idle may have been the warmest place on that windy cold morning, but a driveway is not a good place for bunnies. I hope it listened.
I set a new record at the store, $164 of supplies in the panniers & on the rack. With a water pik appliance and some medicine, it was not all that huge a load. Wind was 18 mph from the direction of home, so I used electricity most of the way home. I had pedaled unpowered outbound.
