So Elon said they wouldn't product the cheaper rear-motor Model Y because the range (244mi?) wasn't high enough.
I think he was just trying to get people to order the more expensive dual-motor models because over the weekend the Standard Range Model Y became available.
For about $40k without figuring in the incentives, that's a pretty good deal for an EV SUV. The EV Kia Niro starts at around the same price but of course you can still get the US Fed credit of $7500... but the Y is a better vehicle than the Niro.
I just ordered one and it's 2-5 weeks out (which is probably a shorter wait than some e-bikes)... has anyone else ordered one?
