Hi, so i recently upgraded my ebike's battery to a 48v for higher speed, but now the battery meter is not showing the correct battery left, is there any changes i have to do to the system to tell it that i'm using a 48v battery ? i got a bafang s800

More details needed, but most 36v systems Will be a problem with a 48v battery unless your controller Is dual voltage.

Probably not. You may need to just break down and buy a new screen that is unlocked or pay a shop to do it. They're not too expensive if you just want the B&W version. $50-100. Probably similar to what a bike shop will charge you to reset the controller firmware (if that particular shop can do it).

Either way, try and validate which controller you have and grab a pic of the serial/model number when you have it opened up. If the controller is fixed voltage at 36V, a new or unlocked screen won't help anyway. And make sure you match the plug unless you like to pin plugs yourself.
