Suspension Seat Post on my Specialized Creo Evo

I recently purchased a Rock Shot rear suspension seat post from Redshift Sports for my Creo and rode my first 50 miles with the seat post today, and I have to say it was fantastic.
I did experience a bit of bobbing occasionally, but worked out that it was due to being in too low a gear so that when I peddled hard it affected the suspension as well as the acceleration, but when I went into a harder gear the bobbing stopped
The bike came with a dropper seat post which was OK, but as I did not use often, I think a suspension seat post was a more practical option, especially as the roads are getting worse and I do suspect that when we get back to some sort of normality, road repair will not be a priority
The weight of the suspension seat post (450 g) was almost identical to the dropper and accessories
My Creo is fitted with the recently introduced satellite power buttons on my handle bars and in conjunction with my Planet 3 kit the bike is the best I have ridden by far. I just cant stop riding it and have covered 8000 miles in 12 months

Hi, it was not a suspension seat post that I got rid of, it was the Dropper seat post and the suspension replacement is much better and recommended especially as our roads are getting worse and after lock-down, I can not see the repair of roads as a priority

If you Google: Planet 3 Creo it will take you to the website with a video and instructions on how to fit it which is easy
It is around £100 which is quite a lot in terms of the kit, but the transformation though subtle means you never run out of assistance and in conjunction with the satellite buttons enables me to run on Eco most of the time (Used to be on level 2 Tour all the time as such a pain to adjust) which compensates for assistance over 15.5 so that battery consumption is not effected and may be even improved. My average ride is 45-65 miles so I always use an extender battery and always have loads spare
As I said it is subtle, but so is the bike so they are a good match.
The 3 items have cost just over £360 but they have made a great bike fantastic and as you would have paid £5-8k or even more, not a big addition
I promise you I am not on commission, I just love it

I have Shock Stop suspension on both bikes but have not experienced the bobbing you described. To reduce it you can try tightening up the suspension a bit in the seat post. Perhaps you can find a happy medium between comfort and bobbing.

I may well adjust it, but as only having covered 50 mile I will play around over the next couple of weeks
It is comfortable and as long as I am in the correct gear the bobbing ceased
