Suspension seat post for C380

Just wanted to also add that sometimes you get used to it over time.

I adjusted my C380 stem for the most upright position (90-100% of weight on butt). The first two rides my butt was completely numb after 20 miles. Two days after that I did 50 miles and everything was great, and has been since.

As Stefan said your tires are also super inflated.

Now that’s something I’ve not thought of but will for sure experiment with. Much appreciated. What do you run your tire pressure at?

Rene Herse Tire Pressure Calculator suggests the following figures for your wheels and the total weight:

Soft: 31 psi
Firm: 38 psi.

As the rating of your tires starts at 35 psi I think the 40 psi is the maximum inflation you need!

Will take that recommendation and test it out tomorrow.

When my wife got a flat tire I inflated hers to 40 PSI. Havent adjusted mine yet but I intend to lower the pressure.

I run my car tires 3 PSI low for the same reason.

Ive always been wary of buying a suspension seat post, I dont want to shell out 180 quid and find I hate them.
So this Mwave spring version appeared on Amazon for 38 quid.

Ive dropped it down to lowest setting, seems reasonable quality.

Interesting that this thread popped up today after being dormant for a year. I have a Redshift ShockStop Pro Endurance arriving today from Amazon, where it was $50 off for Prime Day. I'll be curious to see how well I like it. I also have a Brooks Cambium C19 Carved coming. My long discontinued Brooks B67 Imperial rides wonderfully, but can't be replaced. We camp a lot, and even though I cover the saddle at night, it still gets damp sometimes. So I'll preserve it by swapping to the Cambium.

@SlowCyclist: A thing of importance: the saddle will sag a little when you mount the e-bike. You will need to set the saddle height a couple mm (around 1/4 inch) higher than before!

You should be very happy, especially after having tuned it properly to your body weight.
Wow! What a difference! I jut rode maybe half a mile, checking height and stiffness. No more unpredictable bouncing with the pogo stick style post that I had on there (from my wife's Arroyo C5) Riding across our rough yard felt very smooth, as did the cracks on the neighboring sidewalk. Our road was recently paved, so I'll try a loop of known bad roads later. For now, I'm not making any adjustments until I get a better feel for the ride.

My 71 year old tender bits sure appreciate the improvement!
