I did actually see that thread right after I made mine. Holy crap those are expensive. Unless there is a cheaper alternative I'll have to completely drop the ebike idea.I assume you read his post and the batteries were too much?
I'm looking for the most cost effective lithium battery for the amazon 48v 1000w rear wheel kit.
From what I've read 10ah means less distance than the 20ah, right? Desperately want to spend less than $300.
thanks
Do you need 48V? Could you get away with 36v? Batteries are about $3.50 per cell.I did actually see that thread right after I made mine. Holy crap those are expensive. Unless there is a cheaper alternative I'll have to completely drop the ebike idea.
Welcome Justin. That's a tall order for less than 300. Post a little more information about your build. Have you purchased the motor and controller? Brand of kit (post link)? What type of battery mount, down tube or rear rack? What bike (pics)? Does the 300 include shipping? You can also read the many threads here on this topic, use search in the upper right corner. Good luck!
Sorry... Didn't mean to disturb you cats! Didn't know this was an all feline thread....
Are you willing to accept a used battery pack? Contact a local shop. Or, look on the Chinese web site, you might find a complete kit for less. This might be only complete bikes.Ok, so am I totally screwed on the affordable battery thing? I refuse to ride around with heavy SLA batteries.
Joe is right. $379 for 48v http://em3ev.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=35&product_id=161You could buy a 48v battery for 300 on eBay but who knows how long it will last?
Cellman can supply you a complete kit for $1000 delivered. http://em3ev.com/store/index.php?route=checkout/payment
I actually like your avatar better, because the animal is more colorful. However, I have a cougar in my neighborhood. I found her tracks twice in two weeks. She and her cubs are freaking me out. I run in their home range. I minimize the time running in the park. This kit:

No, haven't purchased it yet. I'm trying to get it all planned first. Down tube or rear rack is fine with me and 300 doesn't have to included shipping.
Avatar inspired by Mike. lol

This will crack you up. Two guys were stoned out of their minds. They tried to pet the cougar. The park shot the cougar with a tranquilier. They moved the cat to a bigger park. Either that one or another one took over shortly afterwards. The cougar has a name, "the Silverhill lion". The cat is a tv celebrity. Killed a deer in a neighbors back yard around Christmas. I found her tracks, then too.
