Well I bought a 48v 20ah battery on Amazon for $225, and a $35 48v 26-32amp controller, and voila the trike goes 20mph, and pulls way harder up the hills around our house, and much longer range. If anyone is considering doing this, while it will void your warranty and who knows how long it will last, it does work. Super stoked!

Do you know if the Liberty Controller can handle 11s (46.2v) or even 12s (50.4v) being that the front hub motor can handle your conversion to 13s (48v).
Was it much of a wiring problem with change over of connectors?
Only need top speed of 15mph ... what Controller would you recommend for a 12s (50.4V) battery conversion?
