Hi I 'm new to the forum, and to Ebike's. Just purchased a Ebike with a 3-speed internal hub, and its geared so I don't think I will ever use 1st gear and even 3rd gear is almost too easy at higher speed' s specially with the pedal assist. Just wondering if anyone would know if I put a smaller rear sprocket would 2 teeth be enough? Thank's for any input.

Two teeth on a ten or eleven speed sprocket is quite a bit. There's gearing charts and graphs all over the internet.

Thanks guy's, my front is 36 rear 24 tooth. Maybe I will bring it to a bike shop and get some input, not quite sure on how to read the chart's. I might have to buy a couple different size sprockets and see what feels good. Thank's again..

Us this. Enter you chainring and rear sprocket. It will give you an idea but not take into account the SA IGH.

You could go to a 42t chainring. I have that on my SA 3spd. I’m attaching two examples. 36x24 and 36x17. I’d change the chainring to 42T if it doesn’t interfere with chain stay and chain guard. Not knowing which SA you have I don’t know what the size options are. Look a little harder and there may be a calculator that included three speed options. Or look up the ratio and interpolation will get you there.

Ask google, it’s amazing what a search string using correct nomenclature will find!

Chain ring bigger and leave the rear sprocket the same? The bike is a 750xp Rambo. Thank's again!! I will do a little research

Changing the chainring is an option. I’m no SA expert other than having at least one bike with a three speed since 1964. But I went from 38T to 42T on my Trek Pure. Third gear is still to easy but I use max PAS and clown pedal. It keeps my legs moving but no reall exercise. I’m finding that even clown pedaling helps my legs. I’m unable to ride otherwise.

Wow! It’s a BBS02 and fat bike! If yes there may be a problem moving up to a larger chain wheel. As mentioned due to chainstay width. Nice looking bike ...if I got the right one!
