You can add a dropper seat post to most any bike for $100-200 and they are really nice to have. Offroad if you are setup high enough to pedal efficiently it's too far to the ground for many of us on uneven ground, so anytime you get into rough stuff you hit the button and drop the seat and have lots of extra room to move around and put foot down if needed. Comes in handy for mounting the bike and even hauling the bike in a car. Mine drops the seat about 4", pressurized air pushes it back up.

We've tried a dropper post. The customer decided she didn't want to lose the stock suspension post.
