I am looking for the spoke tension specs on Giant eX-2 wheels as used on the 2018 Giant Explore e+3. Google says 110-130 kgf but I recently broke a spoke on my rear wheel and discovered that front and rear spokes are different. I took the rear wheel to my LBS to have the spoke replaced and to have the wheel tuned. I also invested in the Park Tool spoke tension measuring device. When I got the rear wheel back I found that the average right-side tension was closer to 180 kgf.
I understand that e-bikes use larger spokes on the drive wheel (2.0 mm front; 2.2 mm rear) and I suspect that the Google answer is for a front wheel.
l like to do my own maintenance where possible and I rely on Park Tool‘s excellent tools and videos so I am comfortable adjusting spokes. My bike also gets an annual tuneup.
