Just started to get a noise that sounded like the front spokes were creaking, especially when making a sharp turn. After finding no issues with the front wheel I went back out on the bike, this time I put my head as low and far back as possible, without having a crash... The sound was coming from the rear wheel but when riding the bike sitting up as normal I would 100% have said it was from the front wheel.
On closer inspection the noise was due to the rear inner brake pad had worn thin on one edge, as I took a sharp turn the wheel and disc flexed enough to make the disc touch the worn pad. Fully released rear brake cable, no noise.
Awaiting new pads, old ones lasted 800 miles.
