Solid fork mounts on allant8s

Just took delivery of an 8s. Found this thread to guide my inquiry on a front rack (given the weird Trek decision to not offer a flat top to the rear rack on a commuter focused bike) and thought I would provide my solution. The Trek Bontrager Carry Forward rack fits correctly (see picture). The cables off the handlebars limits the available space for a front trunk but we plan to install an adjustable stem which should help open up some space. I have several types of bags (Trek, Ortlieb) and they all fit both front and rear racks just fine. I'm thinking this setup might break the current record on $ of groceries on the bike!

Yes that’s the only one that is compatible.looks much better than what I expected. I never pulled the trigger on it. My first choice was the front rack that comes stock on the trek 920. Post some more pics of it please when you get a chance. Second guessing not purchasing that now...

Here are a few closer shots. The Carry Forward rack has good adjustability at the attachment locations. I had a cheap truck bag that I added so you could see the limitations with cables in the front. A front trunk also somewhat obscures the front light illumination area . I hope both of these effects are mitigated when I add the Blender adjustable stem and raise the handlebars. The Blender stem is needed as it works with the attachment on the SmartphoneHub.

I'm still on the fence on this cycle computer system. I would prefer a dedicated display and just stream data to my iphone. I really can't see myself trying to make calls in route or wanting to play tunes from the cycle computer. We are using an old iPhone just to take the risk out of having this drop out of the holder. In terms of function of the cycle computer system it has been flawless thus far - which is a bit of a surprise.

This is my wife's bike with the intent that she can hang with me on longer faster rides plus use as a commuter. Thus far I'm of the opinion that the tables are completely turned. I may be making a second purchase to close the e-bike gap!
