Should one remove the battery dh park?

Since ill be using the lift mostly should i remove the battery and leave it at home to save weiht?

Or will the removal of battery alter the characteristics of the haibike negatively?

First you should research if ebikes are actually allowed at the bike park you visit.
There are many bike parks who dont allow ebikes on their trails (for whatever reason) and that would already answer your question then.

If you only go DH and use a lift for climbing, I´d leave the battery out.
I mean, you save quite a lot of weight and I saw some videos of a Xduro Nduro from 2016 in a bike park where he removed the battery and said, that it runs really well without the battery and the weight distrubition is still great, because the motor is in the middle.

How to cover the electronics? Is there a hatch one could buy? To close it??

Also how to cover it while washing the bike?

Tape over the opening to keep dust out. It will look funny but, i wouldn't leave it open. At least where the battery contacts.
