Hi, I just joined the group and live in Santa Cruz California. I recently purchased a Momentum Vida E+ ebike. We are still deciding what bike works for my wife. I really enjoy the bike I got and have to say riding it is alot of fun. At 70 I feel in good shape but the peddle assist is awesome. I look forward to getting information on any questions that come up.

Welcome Randi, nice to have you aboard. There are wonderful people on this site ready and willing to assist . Age is only a number and just keep thinking young and remember to ride safe. I’m 75, just did a 14 mile ride, had lunch and ready to play nine holes of golf. This evening I’ll be going to play some dogs, (simulcast) and then spend some time at the casino. So don’t let age get in the way. Good luck with your new bike.

Thanks, yeah I agree about the age statement. I am in god shape and health. I have always been active having run marathons and surfed from a very young age. What I like about these bikes is that you still get a good level of excersise without the cost of being exhausted. Best of luck at the casino!

Welcome. We took our kids there a million years ago on a trip to the Bay Area. I remember a giant roller coaster and pretty cool amusement park right next to the water. I also remember listening to the Doobie Bros who I believe are from the area. "Rockin down the Highway"!!

@Randini, That is a beautiful area with and ideal climate. One of my bike loving kids went to school there. I am up in Sonoma. This is my version of that Vida mid-step bike. It was $600 before the upgrades and motor.

I dont remember the gondola but I do remember riding the roller coaster with one of my kids. I think that was my swan song on roller coasters!
