I just ordered another Satiator. I’ve only seen a price reduction to dealers. This is your chance! $80 off!
$269 shipped!

Now you need to explain to me Tom how you would connect the Satiator to a Specialized Turbo Vado (36 V, Rosenberg plug) or to Turbo Vado SL (48 V, a plug that decidedly is not an XLR) :) How would the latter work with Specialized SL Y-Cable (connecting the main battery and Range Extender in parallel so charging is balanced and the current limited to the capacity of the Range Extender)?

Look at the product page (about halfway down):

There are several types of adapters available including a XLR to Rosenberger.

Thank you!

Need? FFS Stefan I could care less. I’ve posted links and you seem unwilling to do your own due diligence. Thank the nice man for linking you.

Still no answer on Specialized SL e-bikes.
Not my forte', but the adapter right below the XLR to Rosenberger states:

This adapter cable uses the straight version of the Rosenberger plug and has one of the signal pins connected to a 5V supply, making it compatible with Specialized ebikes and other factory ebikes using the Brose based drive system. The right angle version of the Roesenberger plug does not fit inside the charge port cavity of the Specialized battery enclosure.

Would this not work with the Specialized SL?

It is decidedly not a Rosenberger plug. This one has as many as eight pins. Moreover, SL users can charge the main internal battery in parallel with the Range Extender battery, and the charging current is reduced for both batteries as not to damage the 160 Wh RE.

Bill, what does Grin do about charging Bosch batteries? Just curious.

You can build your own custom adapter for the SL if you know the type of plug and pinout.

The Satiator uses profiles for different batteries you setup based on the chemistry, nominal voltage, max charge voltage, max charge current. It also has some default profiles preloaded that will work for many bike batteries.

If you look at the link I provided, there's some videos near the bottom that can provide better information than I.

FFS!
I’m wondering why I should care?
I’m happy. All the customers I sold them to are happy. You continue your myopic comments…

Or maybe you’re just bored?

This specimen (S.M) is very typical to the Poles nation ( of curse there r some nice people among them and i did meet some).. .you give them one finger , they take the whole house .

Seriously? I’m hoping this was humor. But I’m not finding it so…

No, Tom, is not humor , just a fact from observation. Did u read his many sarcastic , selfish posts ? I mean just earlier. the user was patronizing your kindness with the " u NEED ...." We r all equal here !

Anyway back to Grin Tech., the more i study , i realize that if this guys would make a whole ebike with their systems - An Entry/intermdiate level one with the Sx2 motor/Baserunner L10 and a 48v/21ah bat. - the whole ebike market would be forced to adapt.

Right now it's just the DIY people , because we need to make sure the components are compatible and do certain kits for specific situations. The regular Joe does not have the time or inclination for this.
I would love to see a Grin Tech Ebike under 4k.

Meh...
Sure I read his comment as patronising, but apparently I’m thicker skinned. I avoid preemptive strikes.
Maybe you missed my last name?

It's as Polish as mine. It doesn't matter though. You Tom are an American and I’m a Poland's Pole.

We are very far from Grin in Canada and value quality albeit at higher price. The whole concept of "patronizing" is foreign to a Polish heart.

We Poles can jeer at someone calling the person "the onion cheap" (cebulak) but the very word "patronize" doesn't exist in Polish.

Just want to confirm that for Luna's 52Volt battery (as used in the Apollo or Apex), I should select one of the "52V Lithium" options - either "standard" or "85%".

Can anyone confirm for me?
TIA

It is best to get the 72v 5 amp Satiator. It charges batteries between 36 to 103 volts. I just purchased one last week while it was on sale.
