Routing a New Shifter Cable

Have a Turbo Vado 3.0 that needs a new shifter cable. Does anyone know if I can feed a new cable through the old casing at the shifter or if there are breaks in the casing where I'll need to take the motor cover shield off? Thanks

*Maybe* but likely yes if the ferals and housing are not damaged. No breaks in the housing/casing. If you have to replace everything then tape the new cable/housing to the front of the old housing so it is the same diameter and pull it through the frame. Look and think before you do this.

Thanks everyone. Replaced it today. Removed motor cover to ensure casing was one piece - it was. Very simple to replace. Took about 10 minutes.
