Rotating ebike tires needed?

Since this is the first ebike I owned I am wondering if the tires need to be rotated to keep the bead even on the treads, like on a car? I am assuming this isnt nessesary but it could be done to even down the treads and get more life out of the tires...I am finding my rear tire has less tread than the front one I am assuming because of all the weight and since the motor is in the rear.

if anyone has had expierence with this post up!

At 2300 miles, the sidewall on my rear Kenda Kwest 20x1.75" split. The front tread was not as worn. For an $18 tire, and the hassle of removing the motor cables, torque arms and flipping the bike over, it's not worth rotation. Even though I protected the LCD display, it mysteriously cracked two weeks later. Beats me why that broke.

I've owned three bikes in the past four years and have ridden approximately 18,000km, and have never rotated my tires. To me the small $$ savings wasn't worth the hassle of taking the tires off one rim to put them on the other.

Rear hub motor here - my rear tire wears through the tread faster than the front. Given the hassles as mentioned above, to remove the rear wheel, I never bother rotating. When the rear gets worn sufficiently enough, I have the LBS replace it. Generally, the front wears for me almost half as slowly, so every 2nd rear replacement, usually gets a fresh front replacement.

Same here. The rear wears twice as fast as the front.

I buy tires in sets of three. One for the front and two for the rear.

Another rear hub ebike owner (two 2016 Radrover 4" fat tire). I rotate my tires because the rears wear 2X faster than the fronts. Only got around 1100 miles after a year from the rear OEM Kenda Juggernaut tires on both ebikes because I didn't rotate. I got a little over 3000 miles in 3 years from my Vee8 26X4 120tpi tires with rotations.
