Replacing stolen Como - what now?

mine is definitely lighter than 54lbs- that being said i have only lifted it without the battery, of course mine has a 14ah 48 volt battery so much bigger

and the folding specs are smaller than this new ebike too...

when it get it back will try to get a weight on it and some pics etc
just got in some bigger tires so will see how much that adds

i will just start a new thread on it somewhere and list all those other montague kit bikes i saw

Now I found your post with your final decision @AliciaM and am happy for you! You already owned a Como before it was stolen, and wanted to try something new. The point is, another e-bike you mentioned would be a big disappointment for you (and terrible buyer's remorse) because it is really hard to find anything better than Como or Vado. There are three things that made my Specialized Turbo e-bike the favourite of the three I own:

• Silent and powerful motor. I don't think any other brand than Brose offers so quiet and naturally behaving mid-drive motor
• The electronics/connectivity of the Specialized Turbo e-bikes surpasses anything the competition has to offer. The latest Bosch Nyon display might match the Specialized TCU/TCD-W electronics but that latest Bosch product is very expensive and even unavailable in the U.S. yet!
• Beautiful integration and stealthy look.

In addition, Como is the most comfortable of e-bikes I've ever tried. My choice was Vado just because it is offered as the only 45 km/h Specialized e-bike in Europe. (And I feel so sporty riding that!)

Thanks! My knee needs the stronger motor, although I preferred the sportier style of a different frame. Hopefully I can get my hands on a Vado SL next year.

Somebody ring? After riding the Vado, then switching to the Como for lower back reasons, The Como won hands down, totally different bikes, and I Comoized the Vado, modifying for a more upright seating position, relaxed.

You might ride a Vado for more than one tryout and see if it fits your style, cool for the forward lean position, but long term for me....ugh.

I do like the thinner tires of the Vado, I do not miss the front shocks.

And I also have a Sequoia for the forward lean, a Catrike Expedition, an Epic carbon 29 mtb, and none of them put the grin on like the Como.

I can’t get one of those either. The wait list isn’t as long, but it would be many months.

Have you considered pre-owned? BBB has a Vado with 350 miles and a Como with 424 miles.

Yep. Been cruising the used listings since it was stolen. Haven’t seen a single one in a small frame, yet.
