Removing both batteries simultaneously

My new Homage with dual batteries releases one side but not the other. I would seemingly think that it would be possible to remove both batteries at once from the bicycle for removal of both at the same time? Perhaps I am doing something incorrectly, but cannot seem to find any instructions for dual removal.

What's preventing you from releasing the stuck battery? Is the key not turning or is the key turning but the lock isn't releasing? If the latter, it could just be a bad cylinder - we've seen a handful of them in the past year; your shop should be able to replace it for you under warranty.

My goof...it turms out that there are two different sides to put in the key. When I found the one underneath on the left on and it worked like a charm, but sadly none of the four keys I got worked on the chain lock and I have played with all four of them and the Lock would not release, so Abus is going to have to figure that out...

With the ABUS locks the locks are all keyed alike e.g. one key should do it all. Your dealer should have gone through all of that on delivery/setup.

On my Nevo3 GT Vario GX, you have to really push the key into the lock. Mine wouldn’t work at first, until I got the hang of pushing the key fully in.

I am too far away to travel into NYC, so they delivered the bike yesterday and the machine is very well done with plenty of Propel checks and the like. I had no difficulty on installing the pedals and straightening out the handle bars and spent the day making adjustments and learning as much as I could, but there is plenty to learn. and, the only problem I had was finding out that the Abus lock would not work. Strangely, it seems as though it was one thing t;het did not check, so we will see, the keys worked fin on the batteries but not the chain lock. It took me almost two hours figuring out how to remove the rear harness from the back platform. Someone suggested that the put them back on underneath the rack. I figure that I simply do not need the harness, but at least I have it if. The Rolloff shifting is pretty sweet and I am looking forward to a ride tomorrow, it is a great bike from what little I have tooled around on it today with adjustments that I worked on
