Remove white "Kenda / Krusade Sport" lettering from the tires Juiced is using?

There seems to be mixed info out there on removing the white lettering, but I was curious if anyone has tried and succeeded on the Kenda tires that Juiced has been putting on the recent RCS bikes?

The "Krusade Sport" part of that nasty lettering also has red on it.

I'm guessing some tires have different lettering dyes / inks / processes and so different techniques may work differently depending on the tire.

Anyone have a sure-fire method to remove all the non-black text on these tires?

Thanks!

Thanks - looks interesting.

It's on my list of several possibilities to cover up the white, along with this stuff: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001FCB5BK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I wonder if a fine wire wheel on a dremel would remove the white / red, and then it wouldn't need to be covered with something that (might / probably) fade or come off?

I guess I'll try it and see...

Ha ha. Kenda must be selling to the old boomer market.

When we were teenagers right out of high school, we would use white-out to bring out the letters on our recapped car tires. Also would black out the grill on a basic '62 Chevy sedan and act like it was a 327 SS. Woo hoo.

That's funny - I guess I'm showing my age a bit, but I'm not big on labels, logos or things that might suggest I'm (or my bike, truck, shirt) "special". Just don't care and would prefer things to be there for some useful purpose. Sorta like those self-adhesive hood scoops for cars. Why?? ...But there was that time in the 70's when I did put clothespins and playing cards on my bike to make me and my bike sound, well, "special" I guess...

Ok so I used a dremel with a nylon wheel (like a wire wheel, but plastic, though the wire wheel seemed to be about the same just thought plastic would be less abrasive) to remove the "Krusade Sport" part of the tire logos. Really hated the "Sport" which was red.

So the Logo / text is reflective and a little silvery (not flat white like I thought it would be), so I kept the "Kenda", and mercifully the "Krusade Sport" is only on one side of the tires, so I removed those leaving both sides with just "Kenda" and I left the PSI info on the one side, but it's pretty unobtrusive.

Tried paint thinner and goof off (pretty much the same thing) and WD40. Paint thinner and goof off would begin to take it off, but made more of a mess than anything, but probably would work if you really wanted to have that fun for a long while.

The dremel / wheel worked very quickly (used very lowest RPM on the dremel), but did leave a little residue on the edges, which you can continue to polish off, but it just moves the edge farther out - hard to explain, but I was able to get it all off except for a tiny bit (just keeps pushing the little bit of residue around on the tire, not getting the last tiny bit off - really odd, but I'm splitting hairs here because it's almost impossible to see. I'm OCD about such things and I'm good with it.

Looks a whole lot better to me now, but I know some probably like the "Krusade Sport" logo, so more power to ya' if you do.
