Rechargeable inflator

I have tried THREE rechargeable inflators and there is a problem

I want to use it for my AirZound as well.

The problem is that by the time you unscrew the valve the air has been released, so useless.

If anyone knows of one that has a QUICK release, please let me know

Thanks

I use these quick release hose adapters:

One end threads into the existing hose and has a quick release chuck on the other. I lose less than a half pound of air during the release when filling a 2.25 x 26 tire.
Also solves the problem of getting between the spokes with a straight air chuck.

I adapted this air pump to work off my bikes battery,

See this post on how I did it,

Works very well, and I always have a battery available... ymmv

I also have this Fumpa air pump for portable use:

Pricey but well made. It has a press on valve with very little air loss when released. It can be difficult to use in tight spaces though.

There was a time when chucks screwed onto Schrader valves with no loss. I think Schrader chuck designers began to ignore bicycles in the 1970s because the Schrader bicycle market was much smaller than before. Car tires have more volume, so air loss matters less. Screw-on chucks are faster because car wheels give your hands more room. Push-pull chucks are faster because a car wheel won't move like a bicycle wheel.

I bought a 60cm extender for my pump so I could lay it down and use both hands on the chuck. It came with the kind of chuck @6zfshdb has. I cut it off because I've had better luck with ball chucks. I think I bought 3 before I got one that worked well.

To me, it's worth the cost. I used to have to roll a wheel to put the valve at 6 o'clock so I could shove the chuck on hard to reduce loss. This entailed getting down on the ground, and then seeing and reaching could be difficult. With this setup, I can work standing up. Unless I'm careless, I can seat and unseat the chuck several times before accumulating a 1 psi loss.
