Mirrycle, installed downwards and inwards. These mirrors are indestructible. You might need to drill the grip or cut its end though.
Mirrycle is fully symmetrical. You can easily mount it on the right hand side of the e-bike. The former user David Berry (Australia) made Mirrycle the first choice of EBR Forums users.
The second EBR Forums choice is Hafny.

Australia drives on the RIGHT side, too. Mirrycle has been made famous at EBR by an Australian user David BerryWell as we drive on the RIGHT sidemine will be on the other side.

I've had great success with the Hafny Bar End mirror - very stable, very clear, and the "mirror" is polished stainless so can't break.

Mine is glass but I lost count on how many times I whacked it by accident. Never broke and I find the glass brighter.
They even have versions with a replaceable lens and others that are anti_glare

I have the Hafny bar mount. The vision and build quality are both excellent.
I use the Mirrycle down and in and view under the arm. Having it outboard it a little too wide (trails and street). The problem with the Hafny is that in that position it crowds my fingers under the grip. Having broken a couple Mirrycle mirrors, the stainless reflector would be nice.

Another vote for Mirrcycle, after 8 years, the original Mirrcycle on my Haibike finally gave up. Ninety percent of my rides involve loading my bike on a carrier, and driving to a trail. While on the carrier, I tilt the mirror horizontal to reduce wind-drag; the wear on the plastic finally proved to be too much. I knew that I would replace my bike in the coming year, so I bought a cheaper replacement, which I immediately regretted.

The nice part about this particular accessory is the cost to try both the Mirrcycle and the Hafny to determine which you like best is not going to break the bank.

You more than likely didn't buy the best model Hafny for your application. Though some of them can be mounted up/down in/out the smaller/tighter fitting models are best used out.
I find down/in is best to protect the mirror but up/out gives me the best view. What I like about the Hafny is that it only needs to be snug to stay securely in place and that allows for easy adjustments when riding as I like to switch occasionally to a more upright position holding the horns instead of the grips. Also by only snugging the adjustment screws if you do whack the mirror it moves without breaking.
