Rear light cover of my Vado SL had fallen off

Yet another challenge...


Last night, after getting home from work, I realized that the rear light cover of my Vado SL had fallen off somewhere along the way. This morning, I retraced my 20 km commute hoping to find it, but as you can imagine, it was pretty much impossible.


It’s frustrating — it feels like the more I stress over one issue, the more new problems pop up. Lately, my Vado SL has been letting me down, and it's starting to wear me out a bit.


Just wanted to share this here — anyone else been in a similar situation?

Thanks Stefan! But no worries — the light itself is working just fine.


It’s really just the fallen red cover that I need. I’m not quite ready to replace the entire system over one tiny missing cap.

After the cap fell off on my Vado SL, I decided to "de-equip" my Vado SL A long story.

It's supplied as an assembly from Lezyne. You need a new light, there are no spare parts for the light assembly. I had a lens fall off but in the storage area so I was able to bond it on. It's not too hard to find online or in a shop.

My Tero X lense fell off too, but it was in the garage. They aren't attached very well from the factory, so I silicone glued it in place and it's pretty permanently attached now

In a bizarre twist of fate, the lost cover reappeared about 5 km into my commute home. I still can’t believe it.

It looked a bit… experienced, though — who knows how many cars ran over it. But hey, after 24 hours and 25 km, the prodigal cap has returned!

Now the big question: how do I attach this thing so it never escapes again? Because next time, it’s gone for good!
