Rear derailleur

Hi everyone, I am slowly learning how to maintain my ebikes only on mechanical side, I recently index my gears ( yahoo) but I don’t seem to have a B screw, would that be ok. Many thanks

You want one to maintain the derailleur angle. Any compatible (thread, length) screw will work. An extremely bad angle causes wear on chain and cogs as well as poor shifting at the extreme range(s).

Hi, sorry for not been clear, I have not lost it, both bikes identical models neither have a B screw thread anywhere on the derailleur.
Many thanks

then that answers your question If there isn't one You are locked into the angle it's supposed to be at . That's not a screw you normally mess with anyway . Infact once a RD 's H and L Screws are set . You shouldn't have to mess with them ever. Unless you start changing components . Basically maintenance mechanically should be an occasional barrel adjustment . Even that once set shouldn't be more then a slight Twist to snug a stretch in the cable. Leave that H/L Limit stuff alone if the chain isn't falling off at one end or the other . That's it's sole purpose . It has not one thing to do with Shift. That's the Barrel adjuster. Those screws once setup correctly don't loose adjustments. Unless maybe you have el-cheapo gear. Even then not likely

I looked at your post history to see what bike and derailleur you have. The only thing Oxygen Go lists is Tourney and there are a dozen + Tourney derailleurs. The most basic one doesn't have a B screw.

Unless you're planning on changing the gears, cogs, you shouldn't need it.
