Hello...I am probably overthinking this issue, but I can't help it. My Raleigh Cadent (Izip Dash) has a quick-release rear axle, supposedly 12 X 142 mm. I want to replace it with a regular axle bolt that doesn't have a quick release, just to remove the temptation for some prankster to remove the axle while the bike is parked at the gym or grocery store. I recently read that 12 X 142 is not a universal format, and there are differences in length and threading that make a difference in fit. Can anyone give me some advice on how to help make sure I get the correct replacement axle bolt?
