Purion- battery bar doesn't change

Hi there,

The battery bar display on my Purion doesn't change as the battery discharges. The battery is definitely being drained- after a 30km ride, there's no change on the battery bar, but the motor is definitely assisting. And when I plug in the charger it shows the battery charging on the display. So there's no LCD problem.

The display and bike is otherwise faultless- all buttons work, the display shows properly, etc.

The bike hasn't been used for a few months, but was fine before.

It seems like a calibration or similar issue- any ideas?

Thanks!

What does your battery show after a ride? It would be helpful if you posted more details - what Bosch system? What bike? What battery? How old? Ride circumstances (elevation change, power level etc.?)
Battery level measurement is a pretty simple technology - basically measuring the voltage level of the battery, so there's no calibration involved. Calibration is an issue with battery capacity, not charge level.

Is this a Gen 4 Bosch motor?
As for the battery bar display not moving, it depends on how you ride.
I have the Bosch Gen 4 motor on my e-gravel bike and have ridden 30+ km with the battery display still showing 'full'. This happens when I'm riding in eco mode.
These Bosch Gen 4 motors (if that's what you have) are very efficient. I can easily get 120km on one battery charge if I do most of the riding in eco.

Keep on riding without a charge to see if the number of battery bars decreases.

Yeah, I can get 30 Km in without losing a bar of charge in eco mode.
