Pulled the trigger today...

Yes, I'm hoping to be able to have a range of 80-100km on one charge at a fairly low level (e.g. Tour) of pedal assist.

... and I just ordered these for my new bike as well:

The only thing I'm a bit worried about is that I really, really want a klickfix-type handlebar bag and basket adapter. My dealer assures me that they can install that no problem.

Congratulations on the purchase! Looks really neat, I particularly like how they protect the chain, and the fact they saw fit to add a suspension seatpost.

I like the chain protector as well, but I wonder how you manage to put chain lubricant on and if it gets in the way when you remove the rear wheel. Obviously there are some solutions to this problem and I suspect the dealer will show me how to do those things.

Great choice of bike there, Mr. Coffee. I am awaiting a R&M as well, ordered on February 3. We will see how long it actually takes to get here.

I'd love to hear any suggestions about breaking in the seat.

I installed the Ortlieb e-bike specific handlebar-bag mount on my Charger (for klickfix bags). There is another thread out here somewhere where we all discussed this option and included pics. Works fine for getting the bag mount out past the Intuvia display but your bike has the front rack. So not sure if the same mount will work with that. Maybe your dealer has something in mind that attaches to the front rack rather than the bar....

That is awesome. And it looks much beefier than the standard klickfix adapter.

My guess is that a handlebar mount will certainly work for the touring bag and by eyeballing the many videos of the Charger I am guessing the basket will also fit. Actually while I've considered that front rack a liability if my luck holds it will sort of support the bottom of the basket.

I was able to attach the Ortlieb bag, but a Rixen and Kaul basket is not compatible with the Ortlieb mount. Rixen and Kaul also makes a mount that works around the Bosch display AB25B110-8D81-4691-A040-2002F962466A.jpeg

Dionigi, That is one great looking Nevo. I like the black and white look...very elegant and clean. The bar and rack bags look great on it. Have you experimented with panniers for the rear rack. I am hoping is will take Ortlieb panniers back there. (I have a blue Nevo on order).

My wife has Ortlieb panniers on her bike and the work great with the R&M/Racktime. Only one pannier in the photo and somewhat hidden. 2FDA52F1-1E5D-46F0-9DA1-BDB6B9EACFD8.jpeg

By the way, that photo looks suspiciously like it is near Victoria BC looking out on Juan de Fuca Straits. Am I close?

Santa Cruz, California

I lke the look of the blue. Is that the Nuvinci GH with the fatter tires? How are you liking your Nevos? Do they handle the hills around Santa Cruz well? I am in Bellingham, WA up near the top of a 600 foot hill overlooking the San Juan Islands

I ordered a Nevo Nuvinci GH in midnight blue about three weeks ago after a test ride and am really chafing at the bit.

Here is my current ride in our side yard

We just got the bikes yesterday so this was only our second ride. Once you get the feel of using the Nuvinci it is a great hill climber. We tried it on two of the steeper roads we commonly use and you do have to work on the steepest but very manageable. The blue Nevo is the 43cm Nevo Nuvinci which seems to come equipped with wider 26” wheels.

I think there is a heck of a bike tour in my future...

Some interesting observations:

If you make a loop in Northwest Washington and Southwest BC between Anacortes, WA, Sidney, BC, Victoria, BC, Port Angeles, Wa, Port Townsend, WA, and back to Anacortes there are only about 25 miles that wouldn't be on a bike path. Several ferry rides (and you can charge your batteries on the ferry).

About 60 miles north of that loop there is a larger, much wilder loop that goes from Nanaimo, BC, to Courtenay, BC to Powell River, BC to Gibsons, BC, to Horseshoe Bay, BC and back to Nanaimo. Many more longer ferry rides (I think I counted five).

Roughly halfway between those two loops is the town of Ladysmith, BC. Home of Citrus Cycles, ltd, a R & M dealer.
