Problem

I have a 2021 Orbea Gain M30 1x, bought in May 2021. While the bike seems to be running well, my problem is with the Mahle computer. When I ride, the distance jumps all over the place, from showing the accurate mileage to start, them jumping to 2,200+ then to 6,600+, then maybe back to 0. Never shows the accurate distance traveled. Everything else on the computer shows the accurate, current status.
Anyone having this problem, or know of the cause and/or a solution?
I’m a 75 yo male, been riding for 30+ years and ride 4,000+ mile a year on average.

The dealer can check the firmware.

First electric bike. What is firmware? Seems most of the dealers have little to no clue about the workings of the bicycle.
