Problem with 8fun mid drive

hi , I recently acquired a Civia ebike with an 8fun mid drive motor. My wife was riding it up a hill when the motor would not stop. She applied brakes and the motor finally stopped . Now it doers not work at all. Any advise on what could be the problem?

the throttle seemed to be engaged for that time but she did not press the throttle

motor still will not function but when the throttle is pressed there is a faint click from the motor. is the motor shot or could it be the controller? instrument cluster seems fine

battery says full charge. any help?
