Problem w Cadence sensing on E-Joe Epik

Hi, all: I have a 2015 Epik and can't figure out if what I'm feeling with Cadence Sensing Pedal Assist is normal or not. Basically, I'm getting herky-jerky start-stop of the motor with almost every revolution of the pedals. Very irritating and no fun. But maybe that's a function of the number of magnets and there's nothing to be done for it. Anyone know?

The only way I can get things to settle down is by pedaling constantly at such a speed that there's no pressure on the downstroke. The motor stays on all the time, however, and I don't get any kind of leg workout at all. But at least I'm not getting jerked around.

Of course, if I just use the throttle, then things are fine, but that's not the way I want to ride.

Thoughts, anyone?

I would have posted this in the e-Joe forum but thought maybe the issue has more to do with the sensors themselves than one model of bike.

Have you gone over the bike, to make sure the sensor isn't mucky or accidentally come loose/broken some how?
Maybe try losing it, and adjusting it, then retighten it?
Other than...
Did you buy it online or at a store?
Online? Call or visit e-joe website and contact them, someone will be able to help you or point you in the right direction.
Store bought? Take it back and have them look at it. You should be covered by the warranty still.

thanks a bunch. it was the sensor plate -- it'd slipped too far away from the sensor proper to be read. i snugged it back up close, and the bike is perfect.

the plate does seem to be held in place only by friction, however. maybe a screw or some such fell out. will post on the e-joe forum and see if one of the reps steps forward.

thanks again for your help!
