Problem solved removing battery

Was having a problem trying to remove battery.so I put some fishing line on the flapper too lift up the flapper.i bet some thread will work too but didn't have any
 
Last week I attempted to show a neighbor how the battery slides out. Except that it wouldn't slide out. We eventually forced it out, and upon further examination it appears the rubber charging port nipple was preventing the case from sliding out. One quick snip of the protrusion and no more issues, and the rubber cover still can close the charging hole from the elements.

My problem was where you put your finger in the groove to flip up the pull mechanism.a little string solved it

Yes you are correct.that darn thing got me to when I first got my bike
