Don't forget these connectors:

They're reusable and require no tools.
I had problems with them in my grow closet,..
The closet is hot and humid, and the copper wires turned a dirty brown color from the corrosion and I got bad connections.
Those quick connectors are similar to the crimp-on/pinch-on connectors in that there is very little metal to metal contact inside the connector.
Cleaning the wire, replacing the connector, and adding the dielectric grease fixed the problem and the connections lasted.
Dielectric grease seals the wire and keeps out oxygen preventing oxidation, and also helps to absorb and conduct heat.
That's why I like the metal wire splitters with screws. You get lots of metal to metal contact, and you can pinch the wires tightly.
You could fill the plastic housing/cover with dielectric grease or silicone to seal everything up, but it's messy and difficult to change or add wires after that.
