Pedal Fell Off - Crank Arm Stripped!

My right pedal came off while I was riding today. As the pedal was coming out it must have worn off the threads to the crank arm. Now there are no threads on the crank arm left. Wow, only had it 5 months - and I tightened them with a pedal wrench, too.
I wonder if this is under warranty?

I absolutely love this bike. I hate that this has happened. I wonder if "thread locker" will work.

Has anyone experienced this - and did you get any help from Lectric.

This forum is here for a reason. Its to share personal information pertaining to this bike. Please use the search function on this forum and you will see this has been discussed many times before with lots of good advise.

The forum may also be helpful in pointing at the frequent stripping of threads on eBikes. It happened to me on a new EBike Scott Silence after 500km - it was blamed on me - I bought a new pair of cranks and after refitting the stripped arm have done 2500kn trouble free - I am wondering if the QC means this happens and isn’t a user issue and the manufacturers should take note?
Coincidentally a friend has had this happen on a recently purchased a Giant DailyTour.

for safety just buy decent crank arms.
I agree..Helicoil kits would actually make it stronger than original but cost more for the kit than replacing the damaged arms..unless you happen to have a Helicoil kit with the proper metric thread and pitch laying around..🔧🔨

plus it may not be put on accurate enough.
