Just getting this thread set up while I have a few minutes between family activities so it's ready to go!

Will be touring the region of Puglia, on the "heel" of the Italian "boot", from October 15-22, with the Salento Bici organization. Here's a link to the tour, including the daily itinerary:

Arriving in Rome a few days before to get over jet lag and load up on spaghetti carbonara 😁, and spending a few days in my old stomping grounds of Bella Napoli after to load up on vera pizza Napolitana, caffè, and sfogliatelli pastry before heading home...

Is jealousy a mortal sin when it involves cycling (especially when it comes with Italian food)?

Packing and organizing for my Tuesday afternoon departure - next week at this time (local time), I'll be on my first ride!

I want to thank @ChezCheese:) for posting the original article about this tour! You've provided the impetus for a summer full of fabulous training rides, and anticipation of enjoying the food, wine and scenery of a country I love (Viva Italia 🇮🇹!), doing something I love (riding ebikes!) in the company of good friends! Grazie mille, @Chez!

Departure day! I'm all packed for 2 weeks in Italia! I've got everything I need, including for the bike tour, stuffed into one roll-aboard bag and one tote bag (yes, I'm damn proud of myself for that 🤣🤣🤣!)!

Meeting up with friends in ATL, then on to the long flight to Rome. We'll recover from jet lag in the Eternal City for a few days, then catch a train to Lecce Saturday morning. Tour check in, bike fitting, and welcome dinner Saturday evening. Sunday, we ride 🚴🚴🚴! Cannot wait!
