Recently ordered and received a Paselec G9 ebike. Ordered 8/5/21, received via FedEx ground 8/13/21. Shipped price was $858.

After borrowing my friends Rad Mini, just had to have an ebike. Having not ridden a bicycle for a couple of years, the e part really made for an enjoyable ride, even with my marginal knee. Would never have imagined riding a bike in the mountains.

Brief feature summary

Frame: 17" aluminum
Wheels: 27.5 inch aluminum alloy
Battery: 48V 13AH Panasonic battery
Motor: 48V 500W geared hub motor
Fork: Alloy locking suspension fork
Brakes: Alloy front and rear mechanical disc brakes + power off
Tires: 27.5 CST / Chaoyang Mountain Bike Tires
Variable speed system: Shimano 7-speed gear
Speed 25km/h
Range 35-40 miles
Display: LCD display waterproof
Charging time 5-6 hours

Bike came packaged rather well and even included instructions! The external box looked kinda rough.

Now to get everything out of the box. Bike came pretty much assembled, but with every bike it is highly recommended to do a complete and thorough inspection.

Battery is held in place by a keyed deadbolt some 1/2" in diameter. The main power switch and fuse is shown. Battery out!

Battery (48v, 13ah, panasonic cells) is contained in a nice aluminum case.

Front tire is on and it has a big wop wop wop in it! Tire tread looks like a good combo tread.

The rim has some damage. Attempted straightening and the bend is a bit much.

After a few back and forth emails with the company, they agree to send out a new rim, sans tire.

Out and about for the first ride.

Ride was a mix of gravel and asphalt. Some 12miles in total. Take away from the first ride:

52t chainring makes getting started a challenge. 11-38t frewheel. Hills are also challenging with this gearing. The bike will fly easily cruising at 20+mph. Since I'm looking to do more climbing, the chainring needs to be changed.

Brakes works ok for mechnical type discs.

Shimano shifter worked perfect.

Very pleased with the purchase, lots of value for the dollar, fantastic first ebike.
