Pannier backpack convertible

I'm looking to get a Pannier that converts into a backpack to use on my commute. The best one I've seen is the Tumbuk2 Deploy. I can find any information on the clips however. Given that the RadMini has a pretty chunky rack I'm not sure if the bag will fit. Has anyone else tried it on their Rad rack?

Neat product!

It appears the tubing used on the Rad rack might be too large in diameter for the pannier clips. You might contact Rad and Timbuk2 for their specs.

If all else fails, you can make a simple adapter with a piece of 1/2" aluminum tubing and these parts available at Home Depot:

Thanks for the replies. It's a very cool idea at the moment I'm using a rad pannier and just putting my backpack into it and it works ok but I like the idea of being able to take the whole thing with me.

I'm tempted to order it and see how I get on. Making an adaptor looks like a simple enough solution than also means other accessories will fit.

The looks great and is exactly what I was hoping for. It converts from backpack to pannier in seconds. However as we suspected the clips are far too small to fit into the Rad rack.

I definitely want to keep this bag it's perfect for my needs. On first inspection it looks like the clips are pretty easy to remove by just removing 2 screws from each. In fact I'd say they are designed to be replaced easily. This has got me thinking I can probably replace the stock clips with larger ones if I'm able to source some....
