1. What do the parameters P11 through P19 do?
2. Can't find a back up battery so I can go 100+ miles at higher speed.(see photos attached)
3. 5 assist levels all seem different but at 9 assist levels, 6-9 levels do not work.

Anyone know something about items 1-3 above?

Sincerely, Fred

I am just looking for a battery I can carry with me on very long rides so I wont run out of juice. But it looks like the type of bracket I have is no longer being used by anyone, or at least I cannot find an equivalent battery that would plug in. Definitely no parallel connection, just switch out the spent battery with one fully charged, probably with its own separate key. I am trying to find out what kind of discharge connector I have. Did you get the photos? I will attach the bracket photo below.

I have been thinking a possible alternative is to mount the backup battery on the back rack and run and extension cable to it. This would mean breaking out the cable feeds into the back of the old bracket and install either a switch and/or extension to the new battery. Do you think that is possible? Anyway this would be cool since once the old battery drops to say, a single bar, I could reach down and switch the cable to the new one. I wonder if anyone has tried this. It is just hard to believe that I just bought this bike in Feb. 2022 and already the battery is obsolete.

I don’t think that battery is obsolete but someone with more knowledge will chime in and I’m sure

It is probably a halong-2 case but all the brackets seem to have 5 prongs instead of 4 which mine has. Of course, there is absolutely no help from Rattan ebikes. Rattan has this I-Pas regeneration technology, and it does work. I have been down to 4 bars and then descended a very steep, long incline, and it came up to 5 bars. I am going to try this 77 mile ride again, the last 35 miles descend about a 1000 ft. so I might be able to regenerate enough with 4 bars to make it. If so, my need for the extra battery goes away. If one tried a cross USA ride on an e-bike, though, an extra battery would be absolutely essential.
One battery manufacturer, Ankloss, says that the majority of discharge connectors are either an Anderson or XT60, but the latter is probably soldered in. It looks like I can remove a plate attached by two bolts and see the connection more clearly, then could go from there.
If anyone knows which of the two connectors it might be, that is, if one of those two, let me know.
BTW, I still have not figured out why whether I set at 3,5, or 9 levels, I do not get any assist over about 15-16 mph. I have all the info on the parameter levels and have tweaked them all, but still no change.

Anklous came back with this reply, but I do not think following either option will keep the I-Pas technology.
ANKLOUS Ebike Battery 48V 13Ah Electric Bike Battery for 250-1000W Bike Motor with USB Port, 3A Charger, Safe Lock, Electric Bicycle Lithium Battery Compatible with Bafang (2-5 Days Delivery)…

In response to your question about ANKLOUS Ebike Battery 48V...

A seller answered your question,

"I have a rattan compass and would like an additional battery to use as a backup, 48v13ah, but it uses a different bracket. extension to rack mount? "

"Hello, We have checked your ebike model. I am not 100% sure but I think the bike you own, the controller is integrated in the battery. OPTION A) Replace your original battery with our battery. You should remove your original mounting plate and then change the discharge bracket, install our ANKLOUS 5 PIN bracket, cutting and installing the positive and negative (red & black) cables. Once this process is done, install our mounting plate. (Please see the video attached for reference) OPTION B) Using our battery as backup. You can take the controller out from the battery and buy a plastic case to install it and fix it in your bike. From the controller you should pull out the positive and negative wires (red and black) and install a connector at the top of them, we recommend ANDERSON or XT60. Once you got this done, you just need to make sure that both battery discharging connectors are the same than the connector you pulled out from the controller. You can not use the same base for both batteries because you mentioned that they use different brackets. So the only way to do it is installing our battery on the rack and keep the old battery in its original position. If you have further questions, please watch the end of the video and contact us."
