Outlet timer and delay?

I have been looking for a simple outlet that allows me to set 2 timers. A delay timer and then a length timer. When charging my ebike battery to get the most life out of it I don't want to charge it after a long run when it's hot. So I normally wait 2-3 hours then charge it for like 5-6 hours. Problem with this is that I can A forget to put it on the charger after it cools down or B forget to remove it from the charger for long periods of time. So if I could plug it in right away and delay the charge by 2 hours then once it turns on it would only charge for x number of hours. I have found tons of timers that let you press a single button to toggle between 1,2,4,6,8,10 hours but I can't seem to find one that exists that has a delay start on it. I'm looking for a simple solution not super complicated and no more that $40. Any ideas?
 
FYI this is what I currently use for auto turning it off when charging. You just press the button for the amount of time.

I thought about using a spin Timmer that has pins for 6 hours and you would just turn the dial to 2 hours before the on peg so the timer would run for 2 hours then hit the on peg and charge for 6 hours then hit the off peg. Problem with that is it's a 24 hour timer and if I forget to unplug it will charge it for 6 hours again the next day and I don't want that
 
any smart outline like a wemo will do it you can set times and schedules. I have mine turn on at 8 then runs for 4 hours and turns off. I don't have to do anything.I can also tell google or Alexa to turn it off and on.
 
I do have a smart home so I also thought about programming a smart outlet (one with a button on top) you would plug in and when you press the button you just run a routine to start a 2 hour timer then turn on and run for 6 hours then turn off. Problem is I also have a charger at work that I also want to do this with so there are no smarts at work to do this with.
 
Yep problem is no smarts at work. I could get a wifi model and connect it to the work wifi.. That is an option
 
Just run it at a certain Time. Like mine its 8 pm then it turns off after 4 hours. then you don't have to worry about the first timer jsut make the start timer later then you are done by a couple hours. though a hour is usually plenty.
 
Yeah it's an option if I can't find anything else. I don't want it to run every 24 hours though or else I would just use a daily timer. I can go to work at any time and come home from rides any time so it need to be on demand

you can set days too its pretty easy.

if you don't have a battery on the charger what does it matter if it turns on when there is no battery on it? when you want a lot your going have to work for it. then just buy mechanical timer set it for two outs off whatever on and just plug it in as needed. Roget one I showed you and set a reminder to turn it on when needed. I doubt your going to find one that is off for a bit then on only when you pus ha button. or do the schedule and just unplug the charger unless needed. or use one of the smart outlets plug a power strip into it then your charger. turn the power strip on when you want to charge off when you don't. then it wont matter when the outlet turns on when you don't need it.
 
If I leave my battery on the charger because I sometimes don't ride for 3-4 days it would charge it each day. I am just surprised there is no delay feature on any of these outlets with timers on them. It's a niche problem I know but I want to just come in from a ride, put my battery on a timer and hit go or turn the dial to go and not have to think about it till the next ride. If that ride is 24 hours from now great if it's 8 days from now still great. Again just looking for a solution that simple. I think so far the smart outlet is the way to go but would rather it be a simpler solution. Just poking everyone's brains to see if there is a simple mechanical solution out there. No worries if you have no other ideas.

then set a reminder on your phone to unplug your battery. this is the only practical solution. your trying to be lazy here. or use the wemo and set a reminder to charger your battery in a hour. it will run for say 6 hours and turn off. but you need to put a little effort into it here.
 
I do the same as Fooferdoggie and have a smartplug that turns on at 4am so it's ready to go when I leave for work in the AM.

But, I looked at my Kasa software and it's pretty easy to create a scene that has a 1 hr delay then turns on the outlet and turns it off again a set amount of time later. You would just need to trigger the scene with Alexa or your phone whenever you want
 
I don't think that you will find this ready made for home use especially now that smart outlets are so common and probably your best bet.

If you are somewhat handy, you can definitely build something as ON_Delay/OFF_Delay relays are very common for commercial/industrial applications.

Sorry I get that this solution would make you happy but I am looking for a very simple and mechanical solution is all. The internet can be unreliable and I would have to setup some logic so I know as the user my routine is going to run properly. Think about the fact then when I turn it on there will be a dead space of 2 hours. If the routine fails I won't know till 2 hours later. So I have to build in some kind of alert or notification so I can tell it's running. I have to test it to ensure it runs right. It just adds possibility of error or fault. in those cases I don't have a charged bike battery. I currently do use my phone to set a reminder but life happens and you're in a meeting or tied up when it goes off and you silence it or forget after the meeting. Life just happens and in these cases I have a dead battery to bike to work on or to bike home on or I have to cancel my bike ride. Asked me how I know! I have done it 2-3 times hence why I am looking for a mechanical or simple solution that's simple and fool proof. My bike is my main transportation and I got rid of my car to same on environment and to save money so I rely on it.

Anyways it should not matter why I need a solution nor should I have to justify it. I thought that maybe the community had some ideas. If you can't think of any other ideas please don't be rude because I don't take the first advice that came along that I had already thought of. I had the solution of a smart plug the 3rd post and if I cannot find a solution that's a simple one I will use the smart outlet route. If you don't have any other ideas to contribute I am not sure why it feels like you are getting frustrated cause I won't settle on an answer after 2 opinions on the subject. There is alot of community knowledge out here and want to wait to here what others do is all. Maybe something neither of us thought about! I'm an open thinker and do IT for a living, I don't just settle for duct tape solutions because there are free or I don't want a better solution.
 
I use a 24 hour rotary timer and unplug after a day if I don’t go for a ride. However Garrison makes this fully programable timer that can do anything you want. Mine is probably 20 years old so not sure if they still make it.
