Online rider training courses?

Out here in California, you need to pass the MSF course before you can get an M1 endorsement on your Driver's License. It is important that you do so, because a long time ago, the police loved doing paper checks at various stops in the mountains, for speeding, non CARB exhaust systems, illegal license plate location, etc, etc.

Downside is that once you have it, there is nothing stopping you from buying a GSX-R1000 or similar Superbike right out of the gate.

For scooters and e-bikes CBT info, the MSF and/or similar training is overkill and a waste of time, and should be completely voluntary. If you can ride a bike, you can ride a scooter/ebike.

Motorcycles are in a different class altogether and training is absolutely essential. But for scooters/ebikes, it is voluntary and I don't see the point of it.
Does anyone suggest a rider's safety course? I called one and they said it was perfect for beginners it costs $185.00, and it includes your license. is that a good price???

I think any new rider training is beneficial and should be pursued, and I wasn't aware of the Calif. requirement for an M1 license. I started riding here in SoCal in the mid 1970's and all that was needed was an additional written test back then. I gained my experience riding the 405 freeway. It must have worked, more than 50 motorcycles later, I'm still alive to tell the tale and still riding motorbikes. Just love life on 2 wheels. Ride on!

Is there an online E bike course available somewhere?

It has been 60+ yrs since I have taken my first MC ride test
on a 60's Honda Trail 90, which I still have.
