If you don't think Covid-19 is serious and are still comparing it to the flu, or feel this only is a risk for people who are older, or in poor health, you may want to take few minutes to read the above article from a medical worker in New Orleans. Yes there are many outcomes, including mild flu like symptoms. But this one outcome is definitely worth considering how you go about your day, whether in a lockdowned state or not.

It also adds perspective on the urgent requests now from Governors in some states, for ventilators.

One can better appreciate these lockdowns.

P.S. The article was vetted by other medical professionals. I don't believe there is any hype in this at all, as I read similar stories back in January with very dire descriptions for this occurring in China when first taking notice and then posting on Jan 26. One of several reasons I was concerned and I started the thread about the 30 China cities being locked down. If it wasn't evident why such draconian measures were taken back then, perhaps you will see it more clearly after reading this first hand front line medical workers account.
PPS - you don't have to read this or comment on the thread if you don't like it. And yes it's in the off topic forum, but it's pertinent to everyone. Otherwise feel free to ignore it or put me on ignore. Stay safe everyone !

Just a suggestion that you can take or leave, but how many of these threads do you need to create? Aren't there enough existing COVID 19 threads you could find one appropriate to post in? If you are going to create a new thread at least use a descriptive title so people can ignore it if they want.

Yep, I just left another forum because it’s all COVID 19 and getting old. Plus there are the believers and non-believers arguing their views constantly and it’s not what the forum is for. Let‘s drop this and focus on e-bikes.

Umm, this is the off-topic discussion forum.
But, yeah, descriptive thread titles are nice.
