Hi
Have been using my bike for about 18 months, light use and then whilst riding one day heard a clicking noise just once then stopped working, all wiring is intact battery has power only visible faults is that the controller on the handlebar does not light up and the power assist sensor disc has a small crack in it. Any help would be appreciated

How do you know your battery has power?
Did you use multimeter?
I'm asking because some batteries will show that your battery is fully charged, however, it doesn't mean it's discharging (for example, when the fuse is out).

Otherwise I'd suspect the display is faulty.
(when we say controller, we refer to the motor controller)
Hi battery is OK tested it with a multimeter, could the bit the battery clips into be faulty ? It's difficult to get a reading of it with the multimeter

There are lots of points of failure here. The fact that the display doesn't light up suggests that the problem is either in the display or in the wiring from the battery to the display. I presume there is a connector between the display and the bike wiring? If you knew which wires provided power, you could check those. However, I presume this is an inexpensive ebike you bought online? If so, you probably can't get a wiring diagram, so at best you'd need to troubleshoot by trial and error.
Unfortunately, there's not very good consistency with color coding around the world, as this link shows: https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/textbook/reference/chpt-2/wiring-color-codes/ , so trial and error may be your best bet, with eyes on a failed display.
