I agree that the Tannus Armour inserts look quite good, but the $180 price and the hassle to install were problems for me.

I am not sure where you get that price? We pay about $50 cdn and about $20 to have them installed at the local Trek store.

They are somewhat a pain to install but it's a one and done (until you need to replace your tires). I paid $85 + shipping for a bundle that included 2 armour and 2 tubes which seems pretty reasonable.
