I’ve been looking for a new e-bike and am very interested in the turbo vado, however looking at its past release date it looks like it’s due a new generation(with the newfeatures from the SL2), do you guys think this will happen this year? Should I wait to buy? Or am I completely barking up the wrong tree?

SL 2 is a completely different system from the full power Vado. I heard no news on what could be modified in the full power Vado.
Hint: a totally new e-bike is usually preceded by a massive sale of older models. Cannot see happening it now.
