New to group

Welcome to EBR. You will find other class 2 bikes here, and plenty of friendly people who are experienced riders of multiple bikes. What is your location and preferred riding ... street or trail?

Motor will not cut out when engaging either brake lever. Brought it dealer and they could not find issue. They replace brake sensor and did not remedy problem. I purchased this bike from an individual that only rode it once and warranty did not transfer. I am looking for a wiring schematic for a 2022 Boomerang.

@6zfshdb Do you have of one those in your stable of Pedegos? Or advice on the brake cutoff issue?

@chevymac52 @PedalUma will often help out with bikes he knows. Check the brand forums as well as the builder groups and you can probably sort this out easily. Good luck.

I've had this issue with one of my Pedego Interceptors. The problem turned out to be a corroded connector at the controller housing. I believe the boomerang uses the same Dapu controller.

This is the schematic for the Boomerang:

Both brake switches are wired to the QDC multi pin all in one harness, part #6 in the diagram. One end is located under the handlebar control cable spiral wrap. The other is in the front of the battery box where the controller is located.

Check the controller end for signs of corrosion. Sometimes, just unplugging and re connecting clears the problem. If necessary, I use this tool to CAREFULLY clean each pin socket:

DO NOT use a cleaner tip that is too large for the socket! Be gentile and don't over do it!

If that doesn't work, the problem could be a defective controller.

Welcome to the forum and good luck finding a fix!

Thank you for your reply. I checked the connector at the controller coming from brake levers and did not see any corrosion. I had this same schematic but I did not see all of these connectors at the controller. I only saw 3 or 4 connectors. Could there be a more updated schematic?

Try unplugging and reconnecting the connectors. Corrosion can be difficult to see.

That schematic is for 2018 - 2019 model years. There may be a newer version.

Sometimes Pedego dealers don't provide the best service. I would check with Pedego Tech support directly:
They respond quickly and are very helpful.

I checked with Pedego Tech support. They want me to bring bike back to dealer. Would contact cleaner aerosol spray be an option on this connector?

It can't hurt but it's difficult to get spray liquids into the tiny pin holes.

That's strange about tech support. They do suggest going to a dealer when I call, but for me, it's a 3 hour drive one way. Once I tell them that, they always help.
