New Reflexes...

I don't think it's really saving battery. Plus it lacks the instant torque of the older controller. Sure, the older controller was more "jumpy" but it had the "hit the gas and watch me go" type feel to it - must be the younger side of me that enjoys that.

And often times riding the trails - I coast along around 12 mph under my own power. PAS 1 cut off at 10mph and after that - it was all under my own power. Otherwise PAS 1 is 75w constant.. after awhile it just feels like I'm in the right gear and evyerhting is easy and smooth. Doesn't feel like I have electric assist at all (which could really just be the overall goal, feeling wise, but it takes away from what's really there)

I have no real complaints of the new controller. It's just not my style and I don't think it so much fits what Im going after (electric to assist me when needed but not holding my hand the whole way through).

New controller with updated firmware installed! LOVE IT.
And my goodness, Rad Power shipped that fast. Talked to them Friday afternoon, and had it installed Monday night! :)
Now I can have it on PAS 2 and pedal on the flats in top gear at 11 MPH, which is dang near perfect for me. If I could get a slightly bigger chain ring, it would be slightly better, but I can live with it now.
Thanks Rad Power for the awesome service!

Bad news: The new controller is not happy with my 11 watt EBAY light, and shuts it off until I turn it back on by cycling the power for it. I will have to wire in a fused circuit from the battery rack and a switch or a relay. Prolly solid state relay.
