Looks good from that article. Similar to the Creo 2 with its All Road design- use it on road with 30mm or gravel with 45mm. But that Ep8 motor will give some grunt! The Orbea firmware RS used to limit it to I think 60/65nm to get longevity from battery, which makes complete sense for this road bike, but lately they have unlocked that so you can use full 85nm. Or at least have unlocked it with the Rise. Wonder what weight it is?

€5.4K for the base level is pretty competitive I think. Be interesting to see some ride tests. Also, Orbea are the only brand who does a range extender for the Shimano Ep8. Because Shimano doesn't that's for sure!

I’m hopeful that mine will eventually work out. I got one that had a poor build from Orbea. The first issue actually may have been caused by the online retailer but the second one is more than likely, fully Orbea’s doing. The seatpost wedge, which is a bit funky until you understand it, was non-existent on mine. Unbeknownst to me it wasn’t until I had a ruined CF seatpost that it was realized. I was reimbursed from the retailer but it was over a week to get the replacement from Spain. I must say however, the replacement post is of better quality and adjustability than the OEM one. The second issue, which has yet to be resolved, is a situation where the hydraulic brake lines and the mechanical rear derailleur cable housings were misrouted. This poor build caused an issue with a headset spacer that was damaged which in turn created a potential brake line failure. No bueno!! The bike is in an authorized Orbea shop. It’s been over a week and I’ve not heard back on when it may be completed. The bike has been mine for one month and so far has been out of commission for better than half of that time. To say anything positive about the bike is somewhat premature.

Yeah I just got one for my wife and I'm dealing with the fucking horrible cable routing through the steerer tube instead of through the frame. The worst thing about it is the cheap ass plastic spacers instead of metal and the fact that you have to preload them to get the headset properly tightened. I've already had one break and now I'm trying to figure out how the hell I'm going to get the headset tight because you need that top spacer to be solid when it has already broken.

Bicycles have mainly been easy to work on and make modifications on, but I see the same things happening to bikes that made automobiles next to impossible for the backyard mechanic to tackle.

It takes our best mechanic two hours to build a Pinarello with TICR. It takes me three. One of our other mechanics just finished a Cannondale Synapse 1 with similar proprietary head tube internal routing. It took him over half a day.

My Pinarello E5 Allroad was delivered with the TICR assembled from the factory, and it was done incorrectly. I could never get the headset to stay tight. I finally fixed it when I replaced the brake system and hoses with XTR. I had to run all new hoses the right way.

On another note;
I’d like to find someone that has the electronic knowledge to make an adapter that will work with the Orbea charging plug and a PIDZOOM Charge Enhancer.
Far beyond my realm!
