New fat tire ebike upgrade

Hi I recently picked up this boscobikes 48v fat tire ebike. Think it’s pretty identical to
The sondors folding flat tire one. Anyway I like it but am
Just kinda unimpressed with the top speed seems about 18 or 20mph after I upped all the advanced settings. Anyway I am wondering if anyone has any ideas on cost or difficulty in swapping out some stuff on it to get a higher top speed. I was thinking of ordering a 20” fat tire 4inch 1500w rear hub And changing the controller. Currently has 48v 14ah battery and was thinking maybe I could put another in parallel rack mount on back to go with the built on one. Any ideas and insight appreciated. Thanks.

I would replace the controller first, prior to making the motor update decision. That will allow you to see what's actually available from your existing motor when fully unlocked.

A new battery isn't going to make you go faster, unless you go with a 52v, and that's only going to increase your speed a little, maybe a couple miles an hour.

I'm very partial to the KT controllers and displays. They're sold all over God's creation, under several dozen different brand names. What makes them unique is the controller model number will always start with KT. You should know in advance that these controller upgrades are rarely plug and play - especially when it comes to lighting. Know also, there will be NO directions....

Thanks for the info got into the thing and unfolded here’s what I found.already ordered a 1200w 30a controller to throw in there.

That should handle anything you want to do now, or in the future, if you ever want to update the motor. Good move!

Hello, did you experience any change in performance with just a change of your ESC ? I pretty much have the same bike and would like an upgrade myself…. Thank you ahead of time for the response.
