Only had my bike about 5 days now and spent first couple adjusting the seat, setting the disc brakes, charging the battery etc. took my time to get it right. Today is sunny and calm so took it out here in our gated community for a ride, have only ridden with no power and level 1 until today. As I was riding in one I decided to give the higher level 5 a quick try, the roads in here are smooth and no traffic so all was clear. I put in level 5 and set the NuVinci at near the lowest level on manual instead of auto and that makbes the pedal stroke firm and a nice cadence.
Before I had gone very far I was cruising at 23 mph and could have gone more but backed off as thats pretty quick for a new guy! this thing really rolls! I have the speed level set at 28 but haven't tried to go faster. It says 25 is highest, so maybe when it hits that speed it will limit it, haven't tried yet.
To maintain that speed I was not working very hard at all. I have the tires at 60psi.
