New Diamondback and Raleigh

We're now officially a two ebike family. Just had my first 10 mile ride with some hills that make me short winded walking up and the DB made them feel easy. Easily got up to 28 mph on flats but that's actually faster than I feel comfortable riding in an urban setting. My wife just got her custom Raleigh Cameo with Bionx 350W conversion. She has not been on it yet, but I took it for a short spin and she is going to love it....it's a sweet one of a kind ride. It was a long but fun search but we are very happy with our decisions. Now comes the fun of riding and customizing. I have a Body Float and Ergon grips on order which should really make for a comfortable ride. Also purchased a set of Nori Lights for some dazzling night time rides.

I've thought about those nori lights too, fun and safety. I imagine a 6 pack or a puppy in that basket would help balance the bike. Congratulations on your new toys and for having a wife that rides! -S

See, my wife's bike is getting the praise already. I have 500w, she only has 350w, so I have the power. Seriously, went for a 10 mile ride tonight and she loves it, upright seating and no pressure on her hands..thinks she's the queen riding up hills and downhill with regenerative power...I don't even have that. Now she can't wait to get out and ride. Tomorrow 20 miles on the flat NCR trail. Ebiking is great for Boomers!

Love the NCR trail. I like to park part way and go south, turn around back to the truck , restock batteries and see if can make York and back. Very pretty, love the tunnels and the state divide stop.

That's a solid ride...how many miles would you estimate and what bike do you ride? I'll have to work my way up to that trip. Have you encountered any negative reactions to your ebike being on the NCR trail? We are not speed fanatics so there should be no problems, but sometimes it feels so nice to push the bike hard and feel like Ironman. My wife loves passing me when we're just out for a recreational ride...I created somewhat of an ebike monster, lol.

My wife's bike is slightly faster than mine too! Same effect . We have Stomer st1 s. I go on these long trips by myself, take her 2 batteries and add to my 2. I don't advertise I have an ebike. I don't speak unless spoken to , always have headphones in but not always on. Never rude and respond when I really do hear questions. Bought Stromers as they were the most stealth premade when purchased. Since there are no lights/cross walk, even less chance to speak w/anyone so I don't know how well ebike said are accepted. I try not to stand out. Happy to meet up some time

On that trail safe to assume 20 per battery, 4 batteries 80 miles, basically the trail and back if I have the time and energy, all afternoon and doing nothing that night
