Decision time, my trusty Riese and Muller Delite Dual Battery Vario 2018 is in being repaired. Chained up in London, near Liverpool street, 2 days after going back to work after best part of 2 years. Came out and both batteries stolen, luckily I had insurance so its getting two new batteries and a new paint job. Batteries best part of £1300 and respray £1400, insurance was about £350 with £50 excess. Anyway plan is to sell it and get an updated bike. Decided on the Homage, don't really see the need for a diamond frame given how well built the homage is. So these are the bikes I've found and I am going round and round on which to get so thought I would post here and see where crowdsourcing would get me.
I really like the smoothness of the Vario but might go for number 3 Rohloff version below for resale value. The Rohloff isn't too shabby however when I test rode it I found it really clunky after my Vario but I'm sure I would get used to it. It will be mainly for my daily commute into London which is 15 miles / 24 km, elevation is 358ft but no big hills that caused any problems for the Vario. Takes about 50 minutes each way.
Oh and also thinking about repaying with custom colour, maybe matt black, not sure.
